The Tri-State Line


The II&I is a belt line around Chicago. It allows class 1 railroads to avoid the congestion of chicago by routing over the II&I and bypassing the city entirely. The II&I also has lines to Southern Illinois, Southern Indiana, Iowa, and into Chicago proper. The II&I also operates commuter trains from Indiana and Southern Illinois into Chicago.

About Me

I have been modeling since I was a young boy. I am a member of the Garfield Clarendon Model Railroad Club. This is my current layout and second version of the Indiana Illinois & Iowa. I have given clinics on SMD LEDs at the NMRA national conventions in Grand Rapids and Cleveland.
